Your Mission:
Sailes is currently seeking an energetic, self-directed, and experienced Controller to join our team and serve as a partner to the company’s CFO and Chief of Staff. This individual will be involved in all accounting functions for the Company, with key competencies including the following:
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and entries in Quickbooks Online
- Prepare and review staff payroll, including insurance deductions and commissions
- Coordinate tax payments with proper taxing agencies
- Maintain supporting Balance Sheet schedules, such as Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, etc.
- Complete the full cycle duties for A/R and A/P
- Reconcile accounting entries with operational data
- Continuously identify best practices and opportunities to further improve our accounting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, accounting, finance, or similar.
- Minimum five (5) years of Controller, Bookkeeping or Accounting experience.
- Great organizational, problem-solving, multitasking, and planning skills.
- Extremely high attention to detail balanced with a sense of urgency.
- Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Quickbooks
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects at the same time.
- Desire to be a continuous learner and challenge the status quo.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
